The Herkimer Diamond (Crystal)

These beautiful specimens pictured above are Herkimer Diamonds re-located from New York. These unique quartz are quite different from other quartz crystals. They are formed differently and contain with in them a very high vibration.

They have wonderful metaphysical properties that include opening channels for energy to flow. They are know to stimulate conscious attunement to the highest levels, and also activate and open the crown and third eye chakras.

Herkimers are clear in color and may have black inclusions which could be carbon deposits or water. They can also have spectacular rainbow like prisms.

They are double terminated in shape which is due to their unique growing process. They grew inside a mineral called dolostone. This is a mineral that was deposited in the Cambrian-age which was over 500 million years ago. The diamonds formed inside air pockets in the dolostone where they did not need to attach or grow off of the mineral just inside of it, like other quartz.

featured essential oil

Each issue will also feature an essential oil.

tea tree oil newsleter.jpg

The first oil we decided to feature is Melaleuca or Tea Tree oil. Many of you may have heard of this oil or have used it on yourself or your children. It is derived from a tea tree located in Australia and has wonderful healing properties. It has been used to deter and kill parasites. It is wonderful for killing the bacteria from a mosquito bite and many other bacteria on the body.

It can be mixed with Lavender, in equal parts and applied directly on a bug bite. If the first application wasn't enough you can re-apply. We strongly recommend blending it with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut or grapeseed oil.

Please keep essential oils out of the reach of children. They are highly concentrated.

Artist co-op Corner

Our first featured artist is our own Brian Holst. He works with us along with many others across the United States. He is an artist and a crystal miner. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and is very enthusiastic and creative in all the work he does.

Brian has been collecting minerals for over 11 years now and has been actively creating around the states for quite some time.  During a mineral show he was gifted an antique rock saw. Unsure of how to use it he started asking around and found out that he could really get creative with it.

During this time in Brian's life he was working in construction and was hurt on the job. He was unable to walk for 10 months. He knew he had to get creative and figure out ways to make a living wage. He started selling the crystals he had been collecting along with the art work he had been making. He also tried to teach some wire wrapping classes and luckily ended up with more clients than he did students. Things really started to expand for him over time and he started creating and consigning his "rocks n art" all over the United States.

He carves small animals and mushrooms from geodes and cuts them into slabs to create beautiful flowers. Brian has over 700 crystal flowers alone all over the United States. When I asked Brian about himself he said he believes he got his creative talent from his mother. She was always creating and crafting with her kids, making their Halloween costumes and keeping them entertained.

He feels very comfortable and content out on the road and truly enjoys his travels. He says that traveling from place to  place helps keep his creativity going and is good inspiration for him. He feels sitting, thinking and writing are very important for the creative mind. He says he never holds on to anything he makes for himself. He likes to keep space open for new things on his travels.

I really enjoyed my time getting to know Brian better and I hope we get to work together again sometime soon. Thank you so much Brian for letting me invade your space!

You can purchase some of his work here at Eclipse Holistic Fusion. Until next time artist!
